Biography

Sophia Jones began her early ballet training at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Texas. Since 2016, she has trained with Feijóo Ballet School under the direction of Lorna and Lorena Feijóo and Nelson Madrigal. She has attended summer dance programs with Feijóo Ballet School, Paris Opera Ballet School, and Boston Ballet School.

Her repertoire includes Nelson Madrigal’s The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote, La Bayadère, Cinderella, La Sylphide, and Majísimo, Lídice Núñez’s Esperaré, The Wedding, and Bang Bang, and Yury Yanowsky’s Red Pen.

Jones competed in the 2024 Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) and was the Grand Prix winner of the Houston semi-finals. She placed in the top 12 for classical ballet and third place in pas de deux at the YAGP Finals in New York City.

Jones joined Boston Ballet II in 2024.
