Group Sales: How Do I Go About Getting A Group Together?

What constitutes a group?
A group is 10+ people for season productions or 20+ people for The Nutcracker who attend a performance on the same day.

Who should make up my group?
Friends, co-workers, family, etc. who have an interest in ballet.

How do I get my group to agree to a production, date, and ticket price?
First you should select a production and date you are interested in. Once you have made your selection, call our Group Sales department at 617.456.6343 to discuss group ticket price options, specific to that date. Prices are based on availability.

Then send out an email to your participants including a description of the Boston Ballet production you are inviting them to, the date you have selected, and their ticket price options (the group does not all have to sit in the same section). Ask them to respond by a specific date and send their payment to you before that date (Boston Ballet only accepts one form of payment, either check or credit card).

Once you have a commitment from your group, call Boston Ballet’s Group Sales department to purchase your group tickets. We require a partial deposit within 10 business days of placing your order and a full payment 30 days before the performance date.

Do you provide me with advertising materials for my group? Yes. Boston Ballet would be happy to provide you with posters, Group Sales brochures, and other materials to help you advertise the ballet to your group. Simply call us at 617.456.6343 for materials and we'll be happy to help.

When should I order my group tickets?
Once you have a final number of group participants, call Boston Ballet’s Group Sales department and reserve your seats. We are happy to tell you your exact seat locations upon ordering.

What if I don’t know my final number of group participants, but want to guarantee some seats in a certain section?
You can always add tickets to your group order, without an additional handling charge, so we recommend purchasing the lowest amount of tickets required for a group discount and adding tickets as needed. We will try to get the added seats as close to your original order as possible.
