More than a decade ago, Boston Ballet launched Share the Magic as a way of bringing joy to some of the city’s less fortunate children through the experience of attending a live ballet performance.
Share the Magic involves many of the metropolitan area’s most effective charitable and youth-serving organizations. Funds raised by the Ballet – through contributions by individuals and businesses – subsidize performance tickets which are distributed to their young constituents and their families.
With the help of our friends in the corporate community and the general public, Share the Magic has helped us create unforgettable memories for some 10,000 children and their family members, inviting them to performances of The Nutcracker, Coppélia, Balanchine/Robbins, and other ballets, free of charge.
