Boston Ballet School requires all new students ages 9-19 to attend a placement class so Artistic Staff may determine the level of study most appropriate to their abilities. A series of group placement classes is held throughout the summer; prospective students do not need to audition at the location which they prefer to enroll in. Please note that most, but not all programs and levels are available at every studio location.
2013-2014 Group Placement Classes
A group placement class for the 2013-2014 school year will take place at the Newton Studio on Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 3-5pm. Pre-registration is requested (see link below). There is a $30 placement fee that may be made by check or money order payable to Boston Ballet School. Please note that you are not required to enroll in classes at the same studio where you attend a placement class - your placement applies to any Boston Ballet School location. Students attending a summer program at Boston Ballet School will be assessed for a level in the upcoming school year and are not be required to attend a separate placement class.
