Summer Dance Program

The Summer Dance Program is led by master instructors who are committed to an emphasis on strong, consistent classical ballet technique. Students will learn and perform ballets that reflect the diversity and range required by major American ballet companies today.

  • Intensive pre-professional classical ballet training in technique, pointe, variations and partnering with classes in Forsythe-based improvisational technique, Pilates, men’s conditioning, Gyrokinesis, character and jazz.
  • Contemporary dance training with guest artists of Summer Stages Dance.
  • Five weeks, 5-7 hours of dance classes daily, augmented by academic lectures at our company headquarters.
  • 300 women and 50 men, ages 15-23.
  • Master classes with guest artist teachers
  • Culminates in a performance presented to family & friends.
