Progression for Aspiring
Pre-Professionals
The distinctive training methods of SDP have cultivated
confident and self- assured dancers, while also providing a
stepping stone to other educational and professional forums. Each
year students in SDP are considered for Boston Ballet’s
second company, BBII, as well as the School’s Trainee Program
– both of which are regarded as important entry points to a
professional ballet career. Alumni have gone on to join many ballet
companies including Boston Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, San
Francisco Ballet, and New York City Ballet. Boston Ballet School
also holds auditions during SDP for any students interested in
entering the School in the upcoming year.
