Housing and Meal Plan

Housing
Female residents are housed in Boston University's Shelton Hall and the male residents are housed next door at 81-83 Bay State Road, a brownstone. Shelton Hall's rooms are primarily two adjoining double bedrooms with a shared bathroom.  81-83 Bay State Road's rooms are all double occupancy with a private bath in the hall shared by a small number of residents. Both dorms have lounge areas.

Meal Plan
Residential students are served two hot meals a day in the Shelton Hall dining facility. Monday through Friday an additional bagged lunch will be provided for all residents. Brunch and dinner are provided on the weekends.  In addition, students can walk to places near the studio or the dorms for snacks.

Transportation
SDP Students take the "T" (subway) from Kenmore on the Green Line, two stops down to Copley Square.  They then walk a short distance through the historic brownstone neighborhood of Boston's South End to the Boston Ballet studios. Students are required to use the "buddy-walk" system at all times for safe travel to and from the studio and dormitory.  A "T" pass is provided to all resident students (all students paying room & board).

BU Fitness & Recreation Center (option for students ages 16+)

SDP students who are age 16 or older by the start of the program may complete and bring the form sent in the mail to purchase a membership to the Fitness and Recreation Center.  (If under 18 years old, participant must provide a signed informed consent form from a parent or legal guardian before the membership will begin).  Access is granted using your temporary BU ID card, which will be issued upon arrival.  Therefore, students applying for membership must do so once they arrive in June.
