        Why should I choose Boston Ballet School?

        As one of the premier dance academies in the United States, Boston Ballet School offers an outstanding combination of internationally renowned faculty members, rigorous curriculum and performing experience. Located in the vibrant South End of the city, our Boston location provides an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for students to experience the charm of Boston while also receiving exceptional training in the same studios that are home to the Boston Ballet company.

        What kind of visa is an M-1?

        The M-1 is a type of student visa used for vocational training schools and non-English language schools. Schools teaching specialized skills or trade arts, like ballet, are included under this visa.

        Can I work in the United States while on an M-1 visa?

        No, M-1 visa students are not permitted to work in the United States.

        Where do I find housing information?

        We have information on many different housing options, residences, and dormitories.

        Is there financial assistance?

        Limited financial assistance and scholarship is available. Talent-based merit scholarships are awarded to select students based on their audition. Need-based financial assistance is awarded for students who qualify before the first tuition installment is due. Students applying for financial assistance must submit documentation comparable to a U.S. tax return in order to verify familial annual income
