CLASSICAL BALLET PROGRAM,
Ages 8-20

THE CLASSICAL BALLET PROGRAM CURRICULUM
The Classical Ballet Program provides young dancers with a comprehensive curriculum designed to provide a strong classical technique, adaptable to any style. The program is structured in three progressive levels – Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced. Beyond the core curriculum, students may further supplement their studies with elective ballet classes aincluding jazz, character and Pilates. Pointe work is introduced to our female students at the Intermediate 2 level.

Level offerings vary based on studio location. Each section is capped at 22 students.

Enrollment in our Classical Ballet Program classes is based on placement, either through school year progress reports for current students or via a placement class for new students. Advancement through the Classical Ballet Program is based on the individual student's level of skill and accomplishment as well as his or her mental and physical readiness to progress as determined by the School's faculty and principals.

Multiple performing opportunities are available to our Classical Ballet Program students. The School will present an annual Spring Showcase at the Boston Center for the Arts' Cyclorama.

Graduates of Boston Ballet School's 2008 class destinations include: Boston Ballet II, Cincinatti Ballet, Ballet Austin, Carolina Ballet, Richmond Ballet, North Caroline Dance Theatre, Pennsylvania Ballet II, Hamburg Ballet, Boston College, Harvard University, Stanford among others.
