Job Title: Boutique Manager
Responsibilities: Oversee all Theatre store
activities from open to close. Manage and train the volunteer sales
staff (5-8 people) Control all sales functions and reconcile all
transactions. Restock and re-merchandise shop as necessary. Update
Merchandise Manager concerning shop needs, sales info, and
staffing.
Detail of shift Duties:
Arrive at theater 1 hour and 45 minutes before performance time.
Prepare shop for selling:
- Prepare register station for sales.
- Unlock all cabinets and cases. Merchandise countertops and
displays.
- Restock shop with merchandise.
- Greet and review procedures with volunteer staff:
- Take volunteer attendance
- Review prices, merchandise location and attributes, tax issue,
discounts, and selling procedures
- Address all questions and concerns
- Motivate staff to be courteous and professional.
- Obtain and distribute tickets for performance.
Selling Period Duties:
- Control and process all register/credit card functions
- Assist staff with any questions or problems
During performance:
- After each selling period, sales must be reconciled with
register
- Restock merchandise as needed
Close Out Duties:
- Instruct volunteers to take down and close up shop.
- Lock and secure all stock areas.
- Reconcile all sales with final reports.
- Complete close out envelope with all sales figures and
reports.
Qualifications:
Experience working in a retail store. Preferably apparel or gift
shop. Good interpersonal skills and customer service. Strong
leadership skills. Should feel comfortable instructing a staff of
5-8 people.
