Boston Ballet’s Center for Dance Education Part Time Studio Administrators

Position Available: North Shore Studio opening January 2009. 
40 Leggs Hill Road, Marblehead MA 01945.
 

Responsibilities/Duties:

Customer Relations

  1. Maintaining positive relations with parents and students.
  2. Mailing Boston Ballet School registration materials for all divisions and programs of Boston Ballet School to inquiries.
  3. Answering phone calls and assisting with all school related questions.
  4. Preparing, scheduling and following-up on all placement/trial auditions.

Administrative Duties

  1. Maintaining student attendance records, including recording absences, scheduling make-up classes and submitting monthly attendance reports.
  2. Assist administrative staff in registration process (high volume during summer months).
  3. Returning phone calls as requested.
  4. Maintaining all correspondence as requested.
  5. Collecting tuition and registration materials as necessary from parents and/or students.
  6. Administering nightly adult classes and processing related money.
  7. Maintaining bulletin boards.
  8. Assisting Principal in coordinating and preparing all school evaluations.
  9. Monitoring lost and found items and discarding on a monthly basis.
  10. Assisting Boston Ballet Company administrative and artistic staff with auditions, rehearsals, and/or productions when Boston Ballet School students are involved.
  11. Assisting in all Boston Ballet School related performances and auditions.
  12. Covering other co-workers schedules when necessary.
  13. Other job related assignments as required.

Facility Needs

  1. Reporting maintenance needs to Facilities Department.
  2. Monitoring custodial needs.
  3. Monitoring office supplies.
  4. Opening and closing facility (as needed).

Qualifications/Requirements

Flexibility, positive attitude and good work ethic.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent computer skills (Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with Tessitura a plus).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Basic accounting skills.
Some background and/or interest in dance/performing arts a plus.
