Joined Boston Ballet in 2003
Sarah Wroth began her training at the Frederick School of Classical Ballet in Frederick, Maryland. Under the tutelage of Joyes Morrison, she danced the Lilac Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty and the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella. In May, 2003 Wroth graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Ballet and Education from Indiana University, where she performed Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, Second Theme in George Balanchine's The Four Temperaments, and a principal role in Violette Verdy's Homage to Hommel. Wroth's repertory with Boston Ballet includes Sir Frederick Ashton's La Fille mal gardée; James Kudelka's Cinderella; Balanchine's Mozartiana, Divertimento No. 15, Rubies, and Serenade; Lucinda Childs' Ten Part Suite; Mikko Nissinen's The Nutcracker (Marzipan) and Swan Lake (Spanish variation); La Sylphide (Anna); and The Sleeping Beauty (the Countess). Wroth was on the faculty of Boston Ballet's Summer Dance Program in 2006, and also created a piece for Boston Ballet's 2006 Choreography Workshop.
